I am researching the Kemp-Kempoff line of New England. Charles E. Kemp, b 22 Feb 1833, Stroudwater, ME. M. Sarah Elizabeth Gilman, b 22 July 1840, Standish, ME. Charles' Civil War records and death records at Togus, ME do not reveal his parents. 1850 census has him in Windham, ME. Gilman line is direct from Edward Gilman of Hingham, England. Also researching: Ashenhurst family of Ireland, VA, Brown Co, OH, Viola, Ill.; Jacob Johnson, bro of Mahlon Johnson, rev.war family. Shepherd family of Belmont Co., Ohio and Marshall Co, W.V.; Morrison family of Louden Co, VA,Greene Co, PA.; Southern Family of N.C, Giles Co. VA, Ohio and Viola, Ill. All of this research involves the time period of 1750 to 1880. Extensive research completed on many of these lines. Willing to exchange information. |
