Family Photos

  • Photo of James A. Owen (4 KB)
Photo of James A. Owen (1830-1900+), one of my paternal great great grandfathers. While his family was well known (a grandson was the subject of a Life Magazine cover story), little is known of him. He was born in Tennessee, moved to Missouri with his father and other familiy members before the Civil War, and was a JP in Newton County, Arkansas in the late 1800's.
  • Cassandra Young Morrison (1854-1920+) (16 KB)
Photo of Cassandra Young Morrison, daughter of Rueben and Sarah Young. She was the wife of James M. Morrison. They are my paternal great grandparents. They were married in Dallas County, Missouri in 1869 and moved soon after to Lead Hill,Boone County, Arkansas. Jim died in the 1890's and Cass married David Kelley in 1908.
