KennethMorse | I am researching the Morse family from England. Family has been traced back to John Morse in 1452. "In April, 1635, these parties hereafter expressed are to be transported to New England, imbarqued in the Increase, Robert Lea master, having taken the oath of allegiance and supremacy, as being conformable to the orders and discipline of the Church of England, thereof they brought testimony per certificate from the Justices and Ministers ahere their abodes have lately been, Samuel Morse, husbandman, aged 50, Elizabeth Morse, aged 48, Joseph Morse, aged 20." This the first settlement in regard to Samuel Morse and his little family who came to Watertown at this date and here became members of that First Church. In addition, I'm researching the family of Wilson Williamson Marlow, his sons were the famous "Marlow Brothers" whose adventures were the basis of the movie,"Son's of Katie Elder". In addition, I am researching the ancestors of John Vinnicum Morse, Uncle of Elizabeth "Lizzie" Borden. Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have. |
