Obituary from the Nov. 20, 1987 Artesia (NM) Daily Press:

"Services are scheduled at 2 p.m. Saturday at Eighth and Grand Church of Christ for Cordella McWilliams Kincaid, 906 Hermosa.

Mrs. Kincaid, 90, died Thursday at Artesia Good Samaritan Center.

Services will be conducted by J.T. Ross, with burial at Woodbine Cemetary, Artesia. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Born July 2, 1897, in Mason County, TX, she married Marc B. Kincaid on April 15, 1916, in Menard, TX. She came to Artesia in 1943 from Ackerly, TX. She was a homemaker and a member of Eighty and Grand Church of Christ, Hope Extension Club, and the Home Demonstration Club in Menard. Her husband preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 1964. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Maxine Carter, on Feb. 17, 1955.

Survivors include son Hugh Kincaid of Carlsbad; daughters Lavada Swope of Fort Worth, TX, Thelma Schafer of Artesia, and Madlyn Cauhape Daboll of Hope; brother Mack McWilliams of Menard, TX; sister Lorena Worsham of Eden, TX; 16 grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren."
