Mrs. Ruth Alyene Janes ages 23, of route five, died at 7:30 Saturday evening at the University hospital at Little Rock, where she had been a patient since May 21. She was a native of Cord, AR, but had been a resident of Paragould 15 years. The body was returned here and prepared for burial by the Randal L. Mitchell Funeral parlor. Funeral services were conducted at two this afternoon from the North Paragould Presbyterian church and burial was made in the New Friendship cemetery. The Rev Thomas McSpadden pastor officiated. Surviving are two daughters, Janet and Gloria Jean Janes, two sons, Jerry Don and Dennis Allen Janes, two sisters Mrs. Cecil Kelley and Miss Willene Shoultz of route five, a brother, Bill Shoultz of route five, and her parents Mr. and Mrs. John H. Shoultz of route five.
Alyene's children were raised by their grandparents, John and Lizzie Shoultz.
