Rachel Elizabeth Moss (daughter of Samuel Revis Moss and Lydia Elvira McKnight) was born September 14, 1857 in Robertson County , Texas, and died May 04, 1950 in Beeville, Texas. She married Adam Franklin Lutts on October 10, 1878.

Mrs. A. F. Lutts Rites Said Here Friday Afternoon
Funeral services for Mrs. A. F. Lutts, 92, were held in First Baptist Church Friday afternoon, May 5, at 2 o'clock with interment in Glenwood cemetery beside the ramains of her husband, who died in 1933. The rites were in charge of the pastor, Rev. J. M. Lunsford, who paid a beautiful tribute to the christian life of the deceased.
Pallbearers were five grandsons, James Murray Brown, Jr., T. Gilbert Sharp, John Frye, Douglas Odson, and Gerald Keller, and one great-nephew, Offutt Francis. The funeral was under the direction of Walker Funeral Home. Mrs. Lutts died in San Antonio at 9:30 a.m. May 4, following a brief illness.
Mrs. Lutts was a native of Robertson County, Texas, where she was born September 14, 1857, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Moss. She married A. F. Lutts and they located in Bee County in the early 1890s, the fmaily home first being northeat of Beeville just off the Berclair road. Later Mr. Lutts purchased the old Carter home on West Carter Street which remained the family home until his death.
Mr. Lutts had been a farmer and later a building contractor and house mover before entering business pursuits here, first as a drug stor proprietor in partnership with J. T. Ballard, later as join owner of the Lutts and McKinney haberdashery, and still later was joint owner of a general mercantile business in Skidmore. He served as mayor of Beeville in the early days of the present corporation.
Mr. and Mrs. Lutts were the parents of six children, three daughers and three sons, all but one of whom survive their mother. The daugher, Mrs. J. M. Brown, Mrs. Henry J. Stovall, and Miss Frankie Lutts, all reside in San Antonio; the eldest son, Burton, makes him home at Oakville, and Vernon, the youngest of the family resides in Dallas. Max, second son, died several years ago.
Other survivors of Mrs. Lutts are one sister, Miss Georgia Moss of Kingsville, nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Lutts had made her home in San Antonio with her daughters since the passing of her husband.

THE STATE OF TEXAS IN COUNTY COURT OF BEE COUNTY, TEXAS ESTATE OF A. F. LUTTS, Deceased APRIL TERM, 1933
To the Honorable County Court of Bee County, Texas:
1. Now comes R. E. Lutts and respectfully shows to the court that she resides in Beeville, Bee County, Texas; that A. F. Lutts is dead; that he died on or about the 5th day of March, A. D. 1933, at his home in Beeville, Bee County, Texas; that said deceased at the time of his death was a resident of the County of Bee and State of Texas.
2. That at the time of his death the said A. F. Lutts was seized and possessed of real and personal property of the probable value of Two Thousand Dollars, and left a written and duly executed and herewith filed, in whichyour petitioner was named as sole beneficiary, and appointed Executrix--withoust bond--of the estate of the said A. F. Lutts, deceased.
3. That your petitioner is the surviving wife of the said A. F. Lutts, deceased, and is not disqualified by law from accepting letters testamentary of said estate.
4. That said Will provides that no other action shall be had in the County Court in the administration of said estate, other than to prove said will and return an inventroy and advisement of said estate and list of claims.
Wherefore your petitioner prays the court that citation be issued to all parties interested in said estate as required by law, that said will be admitted to probate, that Letters testamentary be issued to petitioner, and that such other and furter orders be made as to the court may seem proper.

ESTATE OF A. F. LUTTS, In County Court of Bee County, Texas. Deceased April Term, A. D. 1933.
On this the 11th day of April, A. D. 1933, came on to be heard the application of Mrs. R. E. Lutts for probate of the last will and testament of A. F. Lutts, deceased, no probated in court, and the evidence, a statement of which is filed in this case, being heard and fully considered by the court, and it appearing to the court, that citation thereof has been duly made as required by law, to which no objection has been made, and that said Mrs. R. E. Lutts is named and appointed in said will executrix thereof and that she is not disqualified therefor:
It futher appearing to the court that said will directs that no bond or security be required of said executrix, and that no other aaction shall be had in the county court in the administration of said estate than to prove and record said will and to return an inventory and appraisement of said estate and list of claims. It is therefore ordered, adjudged and decreed by the court, that the said last will and testament of the said A. F. Lutts, deceased, is hereby admitted to probate and record, and the testimony shall be recorded in the minutes of this court. It is further ordered by the court that letters tesamentary thereof be granted to the said Mrs. R. E. Lutts, without bond, having first taken the required oath, and that no other action shall be had in this court in the administration of said estate than to return into this court an inventory and appraisement of said estate and list of claims.
And it further appearing to the court that R. E. Miller, C.A. McKinney, and Sam C. Mitchell, are citizens of Bee County, Texas, and disinterested persons in said estate, it is therefore ordered, that they, or any two of them, be and are hereby appointed to appraise the estate, both real and personal, of A. F. Lutts, deceased.

This the 13th day of April, A. D. 1933, came on to be considered the report of the testamentary, appraisement and list of claims of the estate of A. F. Lutts, deceased, made by Sam C. Mitchell and G. A. McKinney, who have heretofore been appointed by the court to appriase said estate, and the court having examined the same, it is ordered by the court that said report be and is hereby in all respects approved and ordered entered of record.
It further appearing to the court that said will provides that no further action shall be had in said Court then to return an inventory and appraisement and List of Claims of said estate, it is therefore ordered that this cause be stricken from the Docket.
