Jack Burney is confined to his bed at the home of his parents, Mr.and Mrs. Morrow Burney on account of a head concussion and bruises suffered in a fall in the shower room at the public school building on Tuesday.Dazed from the fall, Jack was unable to tell just how the accident which caused the injury happened.

Jack Burney, who has been with a medical corps of the Army in Southern France for some time, recently wrote his mother, Mrs. W. M. Burney, from that point.Prior to his activities in France, he was in Italy.

Jack Burney is at home after four years in Army service, two years of that time in Africa, Italy, France and Germany as surgical technician.He was honorably discharged last week at Camp Wolters.Here to visit with the war veteran and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Morrow Burney, at the weekend were his brother, Billy Burney,student at the University of Texas, and his uncle, Robert Moss, of San Antonio.
