Unto my loveing brother AMBROSE COBBS by Negroe boy Guy.Alsoe my goald ring which was my father's but after his decease itt shall fall to my brother OTHO COBBS.
Unto my brother ROBERT COBBS my Negro boy Dick, alsoe my new gun which I had last out of England.
Unto my sonn in law Matthew Pierce my youngest Negro boy Tom, also my pistolls, holsters, saddle, rapier and all thereto belonging, with my best rideing horse.
All the rest of my estate both in monyes, goods, Negroes, horseflesh, cattle, sheep, hoggs, tobacco and all other my estate unto my loveing wife FRANCES COBBS whom I make executrix.
My loveing wife FRANCES COBBS to pay unto my brother OTHO COBBS when he shall attaine to the age of twenty one years his portion out of my deceased father's estate which is after all discounts and payments are allowed soe farr as all accounts are att this time presented the sum of 49.14.45 pounds and 2754 pounds of tobacco, two cowes and a mare, but the mare he hath received already.
My loveing wife FRANCES COBBS to allow my coz:Elizabeth Kerle which now liveth with me a suffitient maintenance out of my estate untill she attaine to the age of sisteen years, provided she liveth with my wife or other person invested with the estate dureing the time.
After my wife's decease my whole estate shall be equally devided amongst my three brothers AMBROSE, ROBERTand OTHO COBBS and my son in law Matthew Pierce, every one of those four persons to have parts alike.In case eyther of my brothers AMBROSE, ROBERT, or OTHO COBBS depart this life without heires the Negro or Negroes I have given them shall fall to the rest of those four persons that shall be then liveing.

24 Aug. 1693.Order for a commission of administration with the will annext granted to Mrs. Frances Cobbs.
Though there is noe witnesses to this my will dated 2 March yett comparing itt with my other writeings itt may plainly appeare to be written per my own hand as indeed itt is.
