General William Byrd Chamberlayne (b. 1784, d. 1856)
Notes for William Byrd Chamberlayne:
In the War of 1812, he served as a Captain of the 1st Virginia Regiment, and was stationed during the latter months of 1814 at Bottom's Bridge under the command of Brigadier General William Chamberlayne of New Kent, his first cousin, once removed, who was some 20-25 years older than he. 58
William Byrd Chamberlayne was also a lawyer and he served in the Virginia House of Delegates in 1816, 1819, and 1820.
