Lists Ebenezer and Nancy as being buried in Seavey Cemetery between Mt. Vernon and Vienna; but cemetery listing states they are buried in Carr Cemetery, Vienna, Kennebec Co., Maine.

Ebenezer Bean b. 10/1795, Candia, NH d. 2-2-1880, Vienna, ME

      Nancy Townsend; b. 2-1796 d. 3-12-1877, Vienna, ME

Both Ebenezer (Eben) and Nancy are buried at the Seavey Cemetery in Vienna. As are 5 of thier 7 children. It is said that Eben's father, Aaron, is also buried there.

The Seavey Cemetery is part of the farm of Cephas Bean, Eben's nephew.

Eben moved to Vienna when quite young. In 1815 he was elected Fence Viewer.

All the children of Eben and Nancy were b. in Vienna, ME

Children:

1. Moses Bean b. 3-21-1825
2. Henry Bean b. 1827; d. 2-8-1854, Vienna, ME
3. Harriet Bean b. 1828; d. 10-12-1872, Vienna, ME
m. Rev. Moses Wentworth
4. Joel Bean b. ??
Went to Calif. in Gold Rush of 1849 as a young man. At age 50 he m. a Flemish girl who could not speak English, so he sent her to school to learn it.
5. Charles Bean b. 1833; d. 5-13-1855
6. Mary A Bean b. 1835; d. 9-8-1886
7. Leonard Bean b. 1838; d. 8-3-1863, in the Civil War. His body was returned to Vienna for burial.

Several of the boys went west in the Gold Rush of 1849 to California. All soon returned to Vienna, ME. Except Joel. He remained in California and M. at age 50 and d. in Calif. It is not known what became of Moses.
