| We are looking for information on the following people: Isaac Mullin Mozingo born in Jasper County Missouri and died in McMillan, Oklahoma, Emma (Emmer) Agnes (Bennett) Mozingo (Isaacs wife) born in Conway county Arkansas and died in Etowah, Oklahoma. My grandfather was Joseph Oliver Mozingo who died in 1984 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and my father was Joseph Gerald Mozingo who died in 1983 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.Reubin Mozingo (last info is January 1880 married Sarah E. Wallace in Conway County, Arkansas but is not in 1880 Conway County Census. 1870 Arkansas Census Bentley Township, Perry County, Arkansas which became part of Conway County in 1872. 1860 Linn Creek Post Office, Camden County, Missouri Census. He is also in the 1850 St. Claire County Census in the same household with George as head of house),He is also in the 1840 Lowndes County, Mississippi Census as a single person living alone at 21 years of age. Reubins first wife was Delpha Ann Mozingo (according to marriage records she was a Mozingo before marriage). They were married in 1847 in Callaway County, Missouri. She was the granddaughter of Thomas Williamson of Fulton Township, Calloway County. We cannot locate any information as to her parents and would appreciate any insight to that. Reubin and Delpha had four children Zachrey Taylor, James, Martha A. (Patsey A. on one census) and Isaac Mullin (my gr grandfather). Any descendents of those children please contact us as no one from my gr grandfathers line knows what happened to them. A family story has Delpha dying of cholera between Joplin, Missouri and Conway County, Arkansas in mid 1870s but unknown exactly where. George Mozingo (last info is 1858 probate record in Andrew County, Missouri. He apparently died between 1856 and 1858, the probate does not specify when he died. His wife Martha (Patsey) lived with Reubin in 1860. Reubin was the administrator of his estate. 1850 Missouri Census for St. Clair County, He is also in the 1840 St. Clair County, Census. Because of location of his death we believe George to be related to the Nodaway County, Missouri Mozingo branch possibly a brother to John who was near the same age and came to Missouri at about the same time.George was a War of 1812 veteran and was a fifer (musician). He had a land bounty in Holt County, Missouri in 1856. He apparently died shortly after receiving the bounty. We are looking for Gannaway in St. Clair County area (in George M. household in 1850),(update: Gannaway children are Georges daughter Ellen Eliza Mozingo and Woodson Gannaways children. They later divorced and she married Samuel Cox. She and several children including Melvinia Gannaway Cox England are buried in Camden County, Missouri. Mary Campbell and Litton (in Reubin M. household in 1860 but no later times). William Winston Bennett (Emmer's father) last known in Stonewall, Ok. Any information on Striplin in Arkansas, Oklahoma, or Missouri would be greatly appreciated (this is Sue's adoptive fathers, James Arthur Striplin, family and she doesn't know much about them. Sue's adoptive mother was Hallie Marie (C.) Cousins Striplin and any info on the Cousins of Arkansas, Oklahoma, or Missouri would be helpful. Any info on Elenore Brandt Cousins of Midland - Odessa, Texas area. Any info on Noah Denton of Midland - Odessa, Texas area. Other names we are interested in are Barnett, Shook, Horton, Herron (Herrin, Herring),Sidwell, Putnam, Joiner, Seay and Watson. |
