I was born at Pillager, Minnesota to John Thomas Mudgett and Edith Fugate. My only living grandparents at the time were my Dad's mother, Ruth Allison and her husband, my Dad's step-father, Thomas Allen Moulton, and my mother's Dad was Lanson Edward Fugate. Grandpa Moulton died a few months after I was born, and though I must have met my grandfather, Lanson Fugate a few times, he died in December, 1935, so I do not remember him at all. I met my Great-grandfather, Willard Fish once, probably in 1941, at the fair in Pillager. He was my mother's mothers father. Blanche Fish Fugate, daughter of Willard Fish and Alfreda Belle Loucks had passed away in April, 1928. I had a sister, Grace Mudgett, who died at age of three years and about 10 months. (January 12, 1936 to September 6, 1939). My brother, Wesley John Mudgett was born in Spokane, Washington in 1942.My Dad died on November 2, 1976, and my mother died on October 29, 1982. They and my sister are buried in Wildwood Cemetery, in Pillager, Minnesota.
I was a Korean War Widow and remarried seven years later to another Korean Vet. He passed away seven and one-half years ago. I had three children by my first marriage,a son and then twin daughters, but one twin died at birth. I had four children by my second marriage, a son and three daughters. My second son was killed in a motorcycle accident in California when he was in the Marines and stationed there. He was 21 years old. I have nine grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, all descended from my five living children.
