My "Simas" & "Mudge" Ancestors

Updated February 7, 2010

My research began (in 2002) as a simple search of ancestors to compile a Family Tree, six months ago. One of my distant relatives immigrated to the U.S. from Pico Island, Azores, Portugal. I quickly learned there is no such thing as a simple search.

The information I gathered then led me to some very interesting personal family history testimonials and accounts, which gave me a more clear and knowledgable picture of many of my ancestors.

Also, to more fully understand what life was like for my parents, grands, and greats, I have done additional research into the pre-and-post 1900 eras of history of our great country. At times, I have felt as if I was stepping-back-in-time and have imagined I was also there...enduring the hardships or sharing the joy, that life brings to us all.

We are now retired in Visalia, California (2010 and are continuing our ancestor search, on the Ivancovich, Mudge,Ivancovich,Simas and Honma branches of family. I am currently building a revised family tree on the Ancestry.com site. If you wish to contact me, please use my email: arkthree@earthlink.net
