This is my grandfather or Granddaddy as we called him. This picture was probably taken when he was in his 40s. He is the son of John and Ellen (POWER) MCISAAC of Highlands, Newfoundland. He was born in Highlands Auhust 12, 1900 and died in Brookline Massachusetts on November 29, 1969. He was married twice and had one daughter, Pauline. His first wife was Margaret Frances Helena Scott of Enfield, Nova Scotia. She died in her late 30s of Tuberculosis. His second wife and the woman we all called Nana was Cecilia A. Dunn of Montreal Canada. Granddaddy was a very kind and gentle man and a great dreamer. He loved his grandchildren and he worked hard. Some of his jobs had been as a telegraph operator, the WPA, owner of a boarding house, owner of a chain link fence building company which he sold to his nephew, Neil McIsaac, and in retirement he worked as a custodian in buildings he lived in. We loved him very much.
