Hello All My American and Canadian Cousins!

Welcome one and all, my American and Canadian cousins and extended family.

I would first like to give thanks to all who have helped me in my quest for my family roots. I have been working on this for years and more intensely the past 5 years. There are still some missing people and dates, but I am hoping that with the help of others these can be filled. Therefore, my thanks go to Arlene Mullin Russo, Marion Scott Lytle, Steve, Jim Power, Msgr. John Campbell, Thomas and Roxy Puddicombe, Bernard O'Brien, Gerarda MacPherson, Jerome O'Brien, Carol Ann MacIntyre, Cuzin' Michelle Doucette, Dave MacLeod, Frank Hughes, Florence Hughes Haydl, Cathy Kendrick, Jim Leonard, Cyril DuBourdieu, Glenn Parsons, Barb Logan, Len Praught, Sandy MacInnis, Don Garden, Ian Millar, Michael Barbour, Nancy MacDonnell, Mary StCroix, Joe Brazil, Bob Spurgeon, Cuzin' Pam, Anne MacIsaac MacCuish, David Horne and the late Kitty McIsaac Hanley and the late Brother Rooney.

I am a descendant of Irish, Scottish, French, and German immigrants to the Canadian Maritime provinces of Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland. My parents are James Wilfred MULLIN b. 1926 in Watertown Massachusetts & d. 1964 in Boston and Pauline Anne MCISAAC b. 1930 in Boston.

I have 7 brothers and 1 sister. James 1953 (Massachusetts), John 1954 (Maryland), Kevin 1955 (Massachusetts), William 1957 (Tennessee), Marianne 1958 (Tennessee), Brian 1960 (Virginia) and Paul 1961 (New York). My brother Sean Cherry b 1966 (Massachusetts) is from my mother's second marriage to James E. Cherry b. 1926 & d. 1979.

I have 2 daughters-Heather b.1980 and Danielle b. 1986. James has 2 children-James b.1979 and Jacqueline b. 1985. John has a son, Gabriel James b. 2000. Kevin has 5 children-Jason b. 1978, Laina b. 1981, Elicia b. 1982, Nicole b. 1997 and Andrea b. 1999. William has 2 children- Cristina b. 1987 and William b. 1992. Brian has 2 children- Angela b. 1982 and Malissa b. 1984.

A new generation has now arrived. Mona Rose Jackson b. 2002 , Maxwell Harvey Jackson b. 2004 and Mya James Aurelia Jackson b. 2006 are the children of the children of my neice, Angela. Heather has one daughter, Amira Rose Paulina Lowe b. 2007. Jacqueline has 2 children Brendon Patrick Mullin b. 2005 and Alaina Rogers b. 2007

My maternal grandparents are Stanislaus Joseph MCISAAC 1900-1969 from St. John Newfoundland. He moved to the Boston with his parents John MCISAAC 1870-1938 and Ellen(Helen) POWER(s) 1872-1930, sometime before 1930. Most of Stanley's brothers and sisters settled in Boston. They are all passed on now but have left many descendants.

I am trying to locate the Hanley's and some of the McIsaac's.

My grandmother, Margaret Helena Frances SCOTT 1878-1935 moved to Boston before 1930 from Hants Co. NS. Her parents were Donald SCOTT b.1848 and Sophia HORNE 1853-1923. They had nine children and most descendants are still in NS or other parts of Canada.

I am trying to locate my mother's cousin Charles Chamberlain b.?1927, son of Raymond and Ann(Scott) Chamberlain of New Hampshire.

My paternal grandparents were James I. MULLIN b. 1898 Iona, PEi and died 1975 Boston and Clara D. HUGHES b. 1902 Fort Augustus, PEI and D. 1967 in Boston. My father was one of 14 children.

James was the son of James A. MULLIN and Ellen ROONEY. Clara was the daughter of James F. HUGHES of Dromore, PEI and Barbara Annie HOLLAND of Vernon River, PEI.

All my grandparents were from large families and therefore I have many, many cousins of all degrees all over the US and Canada.

  • Stanislaus J. McIsaac 1900-1969 (59 KB)
    This is my grandfather or Granddaddy as we called him. This picture was probably taken when he was in his 40s. He is the son of John and Ellen (POWER) MCISAAC of Highlands, Newfoundland. He was born in Highlands Auhust 12, 1900 and died in Brookline Massachusetts on November 29, 1969. He was married twice and had one daughter, Pauline. His first wife was Margaret Frances Helena Scott of Enfield, Nova Scotia. She died in her late 30s of Tuberculosis. His second wife and the woman we all called Nana was Cecilia A. Dunn of Montreal Canada. Granddaddy was a very kind and gentle man and a great dreamer. He loved his grandchildren and he worked hard. Some of his jobs had been as a telegraph operator, the WPA, owner of a boarding house, owner of a chain link fence building company which he sold to his nephew, Neil McIsaac, and in retirement he worked as a custodian in buildings he lived in. We loved him very much.
