Hinton of the state and
County aforesaid------------
I, Jacob Hinton, Considering the uncertainty of the mortal life and being of sound mind and memory, Before the Almighty God, for the same, do make and establish this my last will and Testament in manner and form. Following that is to say; First I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Mary Hinton three Negroes (viz) Harry, Aggy and Molly during her natural life and at her death I will that they be sold and the money Equally divided amongst all my heir; ? term, I give and bequeath unto my son in law, Henry N. Pope one negro woman (Charrity) as his full share of my Estate. ?term 3rd I give an bequeath unto my daughters Sarah Hill one negro boy named Willis as her full share of my Estate. ?term 4th I give and bequeath to Harriet Mebree one negro girl named Greacy as her full share of my Estate. ?term 5th I give and bequeath to my daughter Anne? Huggle one negro girl named Mason as her full share of my Estate. ?term 6th I give and bequeath to my son Bradford Hinton three hundred dollars more than his equal share with the (rest) of my heirs at the death of my wife. ?term 7th I give and bequeath to my son Lovet Hinton one negro boy named Green.
?term 8th I give and bequeath to my daughter Marth Lovejoy and to the heirs of her body one negro girl named Christian. ?term 9th I give and bequeath to my daughter Henryetta Herd one negro girl name Molly. ?term 10th I give and bequeath to my daughter Pernicia Mosley one negro woman named Denus. ?term 11th I give and bequeath to my son William Hinton one negro girl named Sally and six hundred and seventy five Dollars. ?term 12th I give and bequeath to my son Wiley Hinton nine hundred and twenty five Dollars and lastly as to all the rest Residue and Remainder o fmy personall Estate good and Chattles of what kind and nature soever I give and bequeath the same to my beloved wife Mary Hinton.
And further I hereby appoint my son Bradford Hinton and Elijah Mosley Executors of this my last will and testament in wilnys whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 22nd day of September 1835. Jacob Hinton (seal)
