| I have been tracing the families of Munson, Maccio, Henry, and Berger.The earliest ancestors that I could find are described below. The Munson family has lived near Hancock, Maryland, for several generations.Joshua Munson was born October 15, 1826 to Samuel Munson and Elizabeth McDonnell.He married Rebecca Smith in August, 1848.They had at least one son, John William Munson (1850 - 1934) who married Columbia Simmons (1849 - 1898).They had thirteen children, at least four of which had children of their own:Anna Belle, Jacob Sheppard, James William, and Lillian.In 1904,Jacob married Josephine Norris, who was born in 1876.Josephine was one of ten children of James Norris.One of her sisters, Pleasant Norris, married Jacob’s brother, James William Munson.Pleasant and Josephine also had a brother Ed Norris who married Alice Hixon. They lived around Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Antonio Maccio emigrated to the United States from around Foggia, Italy, probably between 1900 and 1905. He came to the United States with his brother Joe (who spelled his last name Maccia).Lorenzo Bongo and his wife Luisa Melchione emigrated from Ariano de Puglio, Province Avellino, Campagnia, Italy and arrived at the port of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania sometime before 1903. They settled in the First Ward of Newark, New Jersey and lived with their son Raffaele and his family according to the New Jersey census.Raffaele became a citizen of the USA in 1900. They all lived at 184 8th Ave in 1920. Their daughter Rosa Bongo emigrated to the United States sometime later with her husband and two children.Shortly after she arrived in the United States, her husband and children died. She then married Antonio Maccio. Samuel James Henry lived in Pennsylvania and was married to Jane Wilson MacLaren, who lived from 1835 to 1927. Most of my information about the early history of the Henry family comes from the book, "Bringing the Henrys up to Date" published by Verna Schwanke in 1952. Henry David Berger married Magdalena Schoene and probably lived in the Kansas City, Missouri, area between 1825 and 1900. Any information would be appreciated.
