2. FREDERICK² SCHUERMAN (HARMEN¹)⁵ was born 1630 in New Amsterdam, NY⁶, and died 1715 in New Rochelle, Westchester, NY⁷. He married (1) CHRISTINA VAN WESTERHAUT WFT Est. 1649-1680⁸, daughter of JON VAN WESTERHOUT.

Notes for FREDERICK SCHUERMAN:
Set out in 1886 to trade with the Ottawa Indians in upper New York. He was captured and robbed by the French and Indians, carried as a prisoner to Montreal and then to Quebec. He managed to escape and make his way back home.
