Notes for Francis Dupray: Hello, I am researching Dupray, Duprey, Dupree, family from Mi. (Detroit river region) early french settlers, Francis Dupray born abt. 1763 married Catherine Roy abt. 1788, thier son Jean Baptiste Duprey born abt 1791 and was a soldier in the war of 1812 and obtained land in Wi.(town of Lawrence) he married Agatha Witterick 3 Aug. 1819, they had several children, Rosalie-born 1819,Lucy- born 1822, Pauline- born 1825 ,John Baptist-born 1828( christened at St. Anne(Detroit)while family migrated to Green Bay, Wi. area more children had been born but. L.D.S. (mormmon geneological site does'nt list all of them , I found a book written on this family linked with the history of Green Bay, WI. ( The French Creoles) written by (Rentmeester) which listed the rest of the children, then born in Brown Co. Wi. One was the youngest my GGGrandpa Thomas Duprey, born abt 1831-35,married Mary Louisa Cummings(born abt. 1845 and who served in the civil war 1861-64 as a union soldier( WI. 14th Infantry Co. F)my question to you is (I would like to find other Duprey's ( may have different spellings) who would have migrated from Canada to Early Detroit Mi. I amlooking for Francis' or catherine Roy's parents.
