The Mutch Family of Tyrie,Aberdeenshire, Scotland and Canada

My research covers the descendants of John Mutch b. after 1700 in Braco parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, died c.1806 and his wife Margaret Sim. My initial research is based on the book "Genealogy of the Mutch Family" by James Robert Mutch, Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, 1929. To update this information I have used family documents such as birth certificates, marriage certificates, confirmation certificates, death certificates,census records, cemetery monuments, records from the archives of New Brunswick and British Columbia and the Vital Statistics Agency of the province of Manitoba.

In addition I have consulted the United States Census records and the Social Security Death Index for the few relatives who left Manitoba to live in Montana, Oregon and California.

This is a work in progress with gaps still to be filled. I would be happy to receive new information and will share research.
