My great-great grandfather George Jacob LERCH was born in a village called Freiburg of Bickensohl in Baden, Germany on March 19, 1842. My great-great grandmother, Anna Catherine TEXTOR was born in the neighboring village of Frieburg of Bischofinger in Baden, Germany on October 28, 1849. The two of them embarked on a long trip to Hamburg,Germany where they boarded the ship Cimbria to America. They arrived safely in New York on July 3,1871 just in time for America's first 4th of July celebration. They then quickly traveled to Lucus County, Toledo, Ohio where many Textor's lived and they were married on October 9, 1871. They lived their entire life in Lucus County, Toledo,Ohio where they had 10 children; Anna, Christian, William, Jacob, Frank, Gustave, Emma, Charles, Anna and Clara. George Jacob LERCH,the father, went by the first name of Jacob and soon changed his last name to be called JACOB LARK. I'm lookingfor the parents of George Jacob LERCH and Anna Catherine TEXTOR. In addition I am researching another one of my family lines; the DEZIEL family. Some of the other spellings have been DELGUEL, DAZEL, DAZELL, LABRECHE. This French - Canadian family research goes back to the 1500's in France and is quite extensive.I am however looking for more information on an Alice DESHETLER (DESCHATELETS)who was born August 25, 1835 - married Louis Deziel on June 21, 1873 and died June 18, 1910. She was married 6 times and lived in the Lucus County, Toledo, Ohio area.Any help would be appreciated! And I'm always more than happy to share any of my research. | |
