From Family Tree Maker's Genealogy Site: User Hom..: Descendants of Johann Jacob Lotschber

"In 1784, Ralph Landenberg, a wealthy wine merchant, died at Salisbury, England after a long life in Castle Street, Westminster, in the Parish of Saint Martins in the Fields. Originally from Frankenthal, northwest of Mannheim, Landenberg left 27.16.8 (pounds sterling) to each of the six children of his deceased sister Catharina Elizabetha Wlhemina Lotspeich. In 1795 two of those children, Joanna Frederica Lotspeich Jacoby and John Christopher Lotspeich, recovered their shares in Virginia and in Bourbon County, Kentucky, respectively. Their brother, Johann Wilhelm Lotspeich, son of the tailor Johann Conrad Lotspeich and Catharina Landenberg, had arrived in Virginia from Philadelphia in 1772, apparently bringing his brother and sister. His sister married a late arrival in Virginia, Lucas Jacoby, who had come to Virginia with his father, John Daniel Jacoby, in about 1760. The father of the Lotspeichs died in 1778. Despite Frankenthal's advantageous location on a major trade route through which many German-American agents regularly passed, no recovery attempt had been made. Instead, only the connection to their wealthy uncle in London secured the property." ---From 'Palatines, Liberty, and Property', German Lutherans in Colonial British America by A. G. Roeber. Note_1086

The one thousand and eighty-sixth note in a series on the Germanna Colonies

...It seems to me that Daniel Jacoby was very much at home in England, probably arising from living there for some time. We know that the wife of Francis Jacoby was living with her German uncle in London. I wonder if the Jacoby family had been associated in some way with Ralph Ladenburg, the uncle. Had they worked together in London? Maybe Daniel Jacoby wrote to Ralph Ladenburg and suggested that his son Francis was not finding a wife. Maybe Ralph wrote to Daniel and said that he knew a good girl who was not married.

Of course, this is fiction. I do mean to suggest that the history of the Jacoby (and Lotspeich) families, were it to be known, would probably be a tale that went beyond your usual immigrant story. I would like to inspire some of the descendants to dig deeper.

Here's what I have through 8 generations down. If you look at Dr. Rick's wife, Sarah van Meter, you find royality that goes on for ever. Where do you fit in? Many Rickmans came through the mountains of NC where my family stayed until the 1900s. Still many relatives there. Texas was the place to go after the Civil war. Tom Merrell

I am aware of the Tamar Reynolds & Robert Rickman connection. I would like to know more about her.
I also have a
1 Thomas Reynolds b?? Dorsetshire Eng
+ Cicely Phippen b?? Dorsetshire Eng
...2 Cicely Reynolds b 1601 Dorsetshire d 1662 Henrico VA
This family arrived Henrico Co. VA aboard the Swan in 1610. Cicely 2 was married five times. Third to William Farrar (b 1594 d 1637) of Farrar's Island on the James River. Farrar arrived aboard the Neptune in 1618. This is my connection to Reynolds line. My question is the possibility of connecting Tamra to my early Reynolds, even though I have no other offspring or additional b&d information on them.
It's just one of those improbable situations that would be personally gratifying if I could do it. Let me know if you find anything upstream from Tamra. Jack Rickman birds@birdendowment.org

Jack, I have children of Cicely Reynolds and William Farrar as Cecily, 1625, William, 1627, John, 1630. These dates are suspect and have no foundation. Found them on the Bailey Forum while searching for Temperance her child from first marriage. Bonnie Morgan

Aboard the MATTHEW to St. Christopher in 1635 with John PAYNE, age 18, are John REYNOLDS, age 20; Thomas REYNOLDS, age 18; William ROBINSON, age 26. Several others of interest, but since John REYNOLDS is also named in the Will of Thomas Payne
in 1673, it needed to be noted. John Reynolds is also found in the 1635 land patent of Adam THOROUGHGOOD, having come over to Virginia with the JOHN & DOROTHY, John PAYNE, commander, in 1635. Also aboard was John WITHERS, servant to John PAYNE.
A Richard ROBINSON later calls John PAYNE his next of kin in a record. It is claimed that John had married Margaret, daughter of Richard ROBINSON. Also in the records of John PAYNE are depositions by John MARTIN, Maurice THOMPSON, John WALKER.
Others aboard MATTHEW were: Edward THOMPSON, age 18; John THOMPSON, age 34; James WALKER, age 30; Mathew WALKER, age 19; Edward WARREN, age 28; Anthony WILLIAMS, age, 14; Thomas WILLIAMS, age 18; John WOOD, age 18; John WOOD, age 22; Mary
