Thomas Warner, son of Nicholas Warner, born in Fressingfield, Suffolk, England, abt. 1430; died in Wingfield, Suffolk, England. Grew up in Fressingfield; spent some adult years in nearby Wingfield. Deeds give Wingfield as his residence in 1452 and 1478; Fressingfield in 1502 and 1503. A Thomas Warner of Wingfield prepared his will 24 Feb 1504, naming daughter Alice and son John. This Thomas could be Johan's father, if he omitted her from his will because she had already received her portion: further evidence is, however, required. See Hyde, NEHGR, 150:477.

From early records the family first became established as a dynasty at Adderstone, in the parish of Bamburgh and some 4 miles from Bamburgh itself.
