| I am doing research on the Shaw family on my mothers side, the Myggland family on my dads side. Also on my grandmother side of the family of Granberg, and my mothers mother side which is Hartshorne. My grandfather Thomas Shaw and his wife Mary Ellen came to Canada in March of 1925 with their six children from England they lived in the Hatton, Derbyshire area. They settled in the Fayban, Alberta area of Canada. My grandfather Lars Myggland (Mygland) came to Canada in 1904 with his sister Sigrid Selma. Lars settled in and around the Foremost, Grassy Lake region of Alberta. My grandmother Linnea Sophia Myggland (Granberg) settled in the Grassy Lake area in 1911. Sigrid married Ole Thompson in Claresholm, AB. Have since learned that my Grandfather Thomas Shaw his father's name was Charles Shaw born(1852)and he married Elizabeth Statham born (1852). Willing to share information if I can help at all and any further information would be greatly appreciated. |
