Dick's Bassett Family Line Starting With William (Fortune) Updated September 5, 2000

I am researching the Bassett line starting with William who arrived in America on the vessel Fortune in 1621. My line continues with William (1624-1670)> Nathan (1667-1743) > William (1702-1782) > Fortunatus (1742-1778) > Cornelius (1778-1853) > James (1816-1889) > Cassius (1844-1918) > Florence (1887-1965). Fortunatus is my Revolutionary War ancestor who froze to death on the brigg General Arnold, which left Boston Harbor December 26, 1778. Cassius is my Civil War ancestor and my grandfather. I am also researching the Francis, Conrad and Myhre surnames. I will be happy to hear from others researching these names and look forward to sharing records on common ancestors.
