I'm researching the families listed below. I have included their major residence to the best of my knowledge. I am writing a small informal biography of my parents, grandparents and great-grandparents for my grandchildren and am hoping to identify some old photos I have to accompany the biographies.
Grandmother Mildred Regester - Buffalo, New York
Grandmother Sallie Alma Coleman - Henry Co., Virginia
Great-grandmother Harriet Perkins Hyatt - Hyattsville, N.Y.
Great-grandmother Ruth Angeline Craghead - Henry Co., Virginia
Great-grandmother Sallie Caruthers Allison-Jacksonville, Tenn.
Great-grandmother Nancy Jane Spencer - Patrick Co., Va.
Grandfather Henry Holland Buckman, Jr. - Jacksonville, Fla.
Grandfather Joseph Benjamin Bassett - Henry Co.,Virginia
Great-grandfather Henry Holland Buckman Sr. - Jacksonville, Tennessee, Penn.
Great-grandfather John Henry Bassett - Henry Co.,Virginia
Great-grandfather Morgan Augustus Coleman - Henry Co.,Virginia
Great-grandfather Rev.Jacob Asbury Regester - Buffalo, NewYork
Unanswered Questions: Why did Joseph Benjamin Bassett leave
his family in Bassett, Virginia just as the furniture empire was gearing up?
I'm also looking for a connection between the Henry, Franklin or Pittsylvania County Colemans and Robert Coleman who married Elizabeth Grizzell in Gloucester County, Virginia in 1655.
Was James Madison Coleman (1830-1865) of Oak Level, Henry County, Va., related to James R. Coleman who married Caleniece Feazle in 1836?
At this time I'm specially interested in finding more information about James Coleman who married Martha Arrington in 1792 in Franklin Co., Va. and in Robert Porter Allison who married Alethia Saunders in 1882 in Tenn.
I'd like to connect and share info.
