The Wingerson (originally Wingertzahn) family arrived in 1842 from Germany. Elizabeth Wingerson married Christian Miessemer in 1843 in Stark County, Ohio. The family settled in Tiverton Township, Coshocton County, Ohio. Philippina (Phebe) Wingerson married Michael Grim(m) in 1846. (The Grimm family arrived in 1837 from Germany.) Catharine Wingerson married George Cly Jr in 1851. Peter Wingerson married Magdalena Breitenbucher (of Holmes County, Ohio) in 1859. The Wingerson and Grimm families moved to Iowa in 1869. The Cly family stayed in Ohio. In Iowa (and late in life), Jacob Wingerson married Martha Olive ("Ollie") Pierson Crandall. I (along with other individuals) are compiling family information. Our goal is to "publish" a Family Album (including photographs). |
