I'm not very familiar with the Underwoods. I do have the APP book (3rd ed. by Dorman) which gives a little info. I guess you have seen David Avant's book(s) on his family lines (Some Southern Colonial Families, multiple volumes). I know he
has an Underwood line. And I have a draft copy of that chapter in my notes here somewhere or other. If you haven't seen that, let me know.

Your Wm. Underwood who married a Margaret is this Margaret Mason? They had a daughter Margaret b. circa 1640 who married a Humphrey Booth Aug. 1660. Trying to determine this Williams place of birth, parents etc.

11 November 1662, William Ball, Jr., who married Margaret Williamson, and John Rozier who had married Mary Williamson. The said Margaret and Mary are not yet willing for the above land, which was given to them by Coll. William Underwood and confirmed unto them by patent, to be sold or divided so their husbands sign a quit laim to it.
