John WARNER (WEHNER) (1800-1882) m. Margaret Hildebrand (1809-1886). They both came from Hesse, Germany. John Warner immigrated to the US c. 1837. Currently, I believe John was from the village of Popenhausen. Their daughter was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1837. In 1839 they settled in Enoch Twp., Ohio. . . Their descendants include Schockling. Singer, Kress, and Thompson. 2. . Henry NAU (1837-1907) m. Elizabeth BLAKE (1842-1915). Henry immigrated to US c 1854 from Germany. Family story has it that Henry came with two brothers, Paul (1822-1906) and Joseph (b 1825). I have not been able to prove they are brothers, BUT they all lived in Noble Co, OH at time of 1880 Census. According to research done by Manuela Kaib, Heinrich (Henry) Nau was born in HAUSWURZ, Germany the son of Heinrich & Anna Margaretha (Lotz) Nau. Through research Paul Nau is said to have been born in Schleswig, Germany and he moved to Minnesota; and some of Joseph Nau's descendants are in Michigan. 3. . Peter NOLL(1822-1894) m. Margaret Stey (1830-1915). Peter was from Hesse and Margaret from Bavaria. I am unsure when Peter immigrated, but he was living in Noble Co. in 1870. According to research done by Elmar Ebert of Germany, Peter was the son of Anselm & Maria Catharina (Trott) Noll of the small village of Rimmels, Germany. Anselm Noll immigrated to the U.S. in Sept 1851. 4. . John Cornett (KORNETT) (1832-1906) m. Barbara Miller (1843-1884). According to research done by Bernhard Braun of Germany the Roman Catholic Parish Records of Bundenthal state that John was the son of Johannes & Anna Maria Cornet of Bruchweiler-Bärenbach, Germany. Others. .. J. Henry HUPP (1811-1891), Michael BLAKE (1810-1887), Frank CRUM (c1818-1866), John HOHMAN (c1785-c1850), Amand Mahler/Mehler (1826-1893), Joseph George MILLER (1800-1879), Anton BURKHART (c1799-1828), Frank HUGHES (1847-1931). As well as KUHN, and the Temperanceville connection is from John & Mary Ann (Brinton) GALLAGHER. HUGHES family were from Tyrone Co., Ireland, perhaps around Dungannon. GALLAGHER family were from Meath Co., Ireland. |
