Johann Michael Neff arrived on The James Goodwill Ship in Philadelphia on September 11,1728 from Rotterdam,Last from Deal,England where they departed on June 15,1728. They were Luthern faith. Michael patened 482 acres of land in Heidelburg twp,Lancaster County,Pa.
When his children became of age a few them settled in Hardy County Virgnia now West Virgina. Hans Learnard went there before he was married to survey and Buy land. Which he gave to his children when he passed away.
Jacob Neff Sr stayed in the area. His children went west when they became of age. I know 3 of them came to Franklin County Ohio and another 3 went to pickaway County , Ohio and another went to Illinois.
Jacob , Isaac, and John G. Neff arrived from Hardy county Virginia around 1820. Jacob {my direct ancester} and John G. accumulated alot of Land in and around Franklin County,Ohio in the early 19th Century. Jacob was married to Emly Athey. Jacob,Emly and John G and his first wife Dorthy are buried in Clime Cemetery on the westside of Columbus. Jacob was also Constonable of Praire township in the 1830s. Jacob's son Weldon and his wife Matilda Beatty were also Farmers. In weldons later years they also ran a Boarding House on west town Street.
John S. Neff {weldon's son} what I gathered went by J.S. Neff. He married Elizabeth Harris Williams on January 12,1865.
They had 10 children
William T. Neff 1865-1949 married to mintie Mckinney and Addie Jolly.
Elizabeth D. Neff 1866-1936 married to Adam Ehmann Marion A. Neff 1870-1871 Charles W. Neff 1872-1935 married Frances Elmira Hay John S. Neff Jr. 1874-1944 married to Caroline JamesB. Neff 1876-? cant find a clue on him Milton Neff 1878-1905 died of typhoid fever. Henry T Neff 1884-1923 married to Mary Anna Fredrick K. Neff 1887-1943
