Five others, all made by widows or widowers of other grandchildren of Martin Aucoin, include statements to the same effect (ibid., Vol. II, pp. 181, 193; Vol. III, pp. 22, 29, 127-128). All six of these depositions indicate that Martin Aucoin married Marie Gaudet, only one, that of Claude Pitre (ibid., Vol. III, p. 29), adding the detail that their marriage took place at Port-Royal.
