MRS. WILLIAM KERWIN DEAD
Prominent Resident of the County Died in Her Home in Milan Township

Mrs. William Kerwin for over forty years a prominent resident of this county died at her home in Milan township this morning at two-thiry o'clock. She had been ill about two weeks. Mrs. Kerwin was born in Ireland on February 2, 1842 and she came to Chicago, Ill. in 1850. Later she removed to Milan township where her home has been since.
     
She leaves the following children, all well known residents of the county; Peter and Mrs. Maggie O'Brien of Afton township, and John, Nora, and Will in Milan. The latter two live on the home farm.
     
Funeral services for Mrs. Kerwin will be held on Wednesday morning, interment will be in the cemetery here.

FATHER DIED AT NEW YORK HOME
Dr. J.H. Riley Received the Death Message Today

Dr. J.H. Riley received the news this morning of the death of his father at Hudson Falls, NY. He has been ill the past eight months and about a week ago suffered a third stroke of paralysis which caused his death.

Dr. Riley left at noon for Hudson Falls to attend the funeral and he expects to return on Sunday or Monday.

DIED IN A HOSPITAL

      The funeral of Mrs. Edwin Hart was held at St. Mary's church today. Rev. J.P. O'Connor conducting the services and the remains were laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery.
      The deceased was known to many as Miss Katie Kerwin, having been married but a few years and her sad death is chronicled Feb. 25th 1897, she having not quite attained the age of 29 years. Her husband besides many other relatives and a large circle of friends are left to mourn the early death of a bright and lovable woman.
      A short time ago she was taken to Marion & Sim's hospital, 518 W. Adams St., Chicago where a surgical operation was performed Tuesday. She lived but two days after this, breathing her last breath about eight o'clock Thursday.
      The remains were brought to DeKalb Thursday night and taken to the home of John Kerwin from which place the funeral arrangements were made.

6. CATHERINE2 KERWIN (JOHN1) was born August 17, 1849 in Ireland, and died April 17, 1912 in Malta, IL. She married JOHN HART January 14, 1869 in Rochelle, IL, son of PATRICK HART and MARY MOFFET. He was born November 1843 in Baltinglass, Wicklow Co., Ireland, and died October 20, 1913 in Dubuque, Iowa.

Mrs. John Hart Dies Here Today -End Came This Morning at the Home of Her Daughter in This City - Was Ill Long

Mrs. John Hart who has for the past six weeks been seriously ill died this morning at 12:20 at the home of her daughter Mrs. John Coffey. Mrs. Hart was taken ill while visiting her daughters in Aurora, and a week ago today was brought to the Coffey home. Here death has been expected for some time.

Mrs. Hart was born in Ireland, August 17, 1849, and she came to this country when seven years old, settling with her people in New York. When eighteen years of age Mrs. Hart came to Chicago and she resided there for two years settling later in Milan township, where she made her home for many years. She was married to John Hart in the year 1869, and the children who survive her are Mrs. J.J. Swain, Mrs. W.P. Watkins, Mrs. H.E. Caldwell all of Aurora; Mrs. H.T. Frame of Hammond, Ind.; John Hart of Walnut Grove, Minn., E.P. Hart of Milan Township, and Will Hart of DeKalb.

Since 1900 Mrs. Hart has made her home in DeKalb where she has hundreds of friends who mourn with relatives. She was of a friendly, cheerful disposition, and was never happier than when doing for others. The funeral will be held from the Coffey home at 160 Pine Street on Friday, and the relatives will leave at 7:30 am with the remains where services will be held at St. James church at Lee.

Saturday April 20, 1912 - Funeral of Mrs. John Hart Held Yesterday - Remains Laid to Rest at Cemetery in Lee

The funeral services for the late Mrs. John Hart were held yesterday. The funeral party left DeKalb at 6:30 am over the C.A.A.D. line for Aurora where a special car was waiting on the Burlington line to carry them to St. James church at Lee, where solemn high mass was celebrated. The Rev. Father Parker said the mass assisted by the Rev. Father Linden of Aurora and the Rev. Father Epstein of Chicago. The Requiem high mass was very beautiful and impressive. After the service the Rev. Father Parker accompanied the remains to the family lot where appropriate prayers were offered for the dead.
