Hi... I am Heidi (Dautermann) Newland and am researching the Dautermann (Dauterman,Dauderman, Tautermann) Family Tree. I have many of the lines dating back to Otto Dautermann (1622) in Germany and wish to expand and fill-in any missing branches. Any information you may have would be greatly appreciated and I would be willing to share whatever information I have also.
I have not actually done the research for this information so the accuracy is not guaranteed. It was my intention to gather as much information from others and put it all together to see where research was needed.... it has become a full-time job just researching and contacting family members to gather the information that I have... but a very pleasurable one!! I would like to thank the people who have done all the work of researching the information that I have. Without them this could not have been possible. They have spent many hours working on this information and I appreciate all the time and effort they have spent on this project and their generousity in sharing it with other family members. I can't tell you how much I (we) appreciate it!! I have met and corresponded with family all over the world and it has been my pleasure to put all this information together. I am still in the process of gathering the information as I have found it never ends (I have over 5600 names included in our listing).
**Recently I have been in contact with Helmuth Tautermann, Vienna, Austria who has been researching his family line as well. It is his belief that the two families of Dautermann and Tautermann are from the same family lines.
