1. AARON2 MCDANIEL (REDMOND1) was born 1800 in Ireland, and died May 03, 1887 in Vernon County, Wisconsin. He married MARTHA CRAWFORD 1822 in Pennsylvania, daughter of CHRISTOPHER CRAWFORD and MARY MILLER.

       Children of AARON MCDANIEL and MARTHA CRAWFORD are:

i.   RHODA3 MCDANIEL, b. 1824, Pennsylvania; m. SAMUEL WEMMER, October 03, 1846.

 


ii.   JOHNSON MCDANIEL, b. September 25, 1824, Pennsylvania; d. December 14, 1864; m. NANCY HINTON, July 20, 1850.

 
Notes for JOHNSON MCDANIEL:
Johnston met his death serving Ohio in the civil war.


2. iii.   DURANDA MCDANIEL, b. January 07, 1829, Bedford County, Pennsylvania U.S.A.; d. April 15, 1926, Clinton TWP, Vernon County Wisconsin.

iv.   MARY MCDANIEL, b. 1830, Pennsylvania; m. WILLIAM CASSIDY.

Infantry. Mustered in- October 9, 1861 Athens, Ohio, Wounded in action and
taken prisoner at Stones River Battle at Murfreesboro, Tenn. Dec. 3, 1862
Personal Description-at time of enrollment Age 21/Height 6' / Complexion and hair light / eyes Hazel / Born PA. / Occupation farmer
Affidavits; Daniel North- Rockton, Vernon Co. Wis. Nov 18, 1885 Stated that Jacob McDaniel was a brother of George McDaniel who was a member of Co. K. 116 Pegt. Ohio Volunteer Infantry, also that James, Alfred, Isaac, and Jacob of Co. C. and Johnson of Co. H 18th Ohio Volunteers and Samuel of the 75th Ohio Volunteer Infantry were brothers and all were sons of Martha McDaniel.
Ethemer North and Robert Clark June 10, 1887 gave affidiavit that Jacob McDaniel was never Married, they being near neighbers to him until he went into the war.
Martha McDanial, mother of Jacob McDaniel gave affidavit in 1863 that the family comprised of the following: Husband Aaron-63/ Rody-36/ Mary-35/ Doranda-33/ George-32/ Job-29/ Alfred-27/ Samuel-23/ Isaac-20/ James-18/
Martha-17. Martha McDaniel was 79 years of age in 1880 she married the father of this soldier in 1822 in PA.
