2. MARY K.² KING (GEORGE W.¹) was born March 22, 1825 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, and died May 30, 1912 in Boone, Iowa. She married SAMUEL NIXON 1842 in Johnson County, Iowa, son of UNKNOWN and UNKNOWN.

Died in Boone Iowa and her body was returned to Platteville to be buried with her husband.

Notes for SAMUEL NIXON:
Samuel Nixons family came over from England in the early 1700s with a land
grant in the state of Virginia. His family remained Loyalists to the King of England during the American Revolutionary War then moved west to Ohio then Iowa where Samuel met Mary King they were married in Johnston county Iowa
1842 then moved to Boone Iowa. From there they moved up to Wisconsin. Samuel enlisted for the state of Wisconsin during the Civil War Co1 10th infantry. He was discharged in March of 62 because of wounds he received. He and his wife Mary lived in Platteville, Wis until his death in 1874.

Notes for MARY ELLEN(NELLIE)NIXON:
Mary Ellen Nixon became Estranged from the rst of the family. She was called Nellie. She got into a family dispute with her younger siblings after the parents died and consficated all the family records and moved away. She never spoke to her youngest sister again.
