Iam searching For the surnames of Newcomb, Scales,Monteny(sp?), Harris And Blank, My great grandfather on My fathers side was William Johnson Newcomb, He was born in Canada in 1843 and married a girl named Dora Blank Who was Canadian. They would have to have lived in Ontario, Possibly Sudbury or Sault Ste. Marie. Iam not at all sure of where they lived, I just know they moved to St. Ignace Michigan where they lived till they died. They Had 10 children, One of which, Otto was My grandfather.Thier other Children were (not in order of birth) Lucy, Emeline, Charles, Frederick, Henry, Frank, And George.Any Info on any of these people. would be appreciated.. My Mothers side of the family was the Scales family, I believe they were from the Chicago area before they moved to Northern Mich some time in the Early 1830s . My grandfather was Alfred Scale who married Mary Monteny. Mary's father was Louie Monteny, who married Sarah Jane Harris. I don't have much info on these people, so any would be a help. |
