Our "Family Tree Project" was started after September 11, 2001, as a tribute to our ancestors and to our great country.

My ancestors who came from Europe to America were: Simon Newman, (nee Neumann) from Willmars, Germany, Isaac Magnin (nee Moeyon)from Holland, Maryann Cohen (from England), Abraham Patek, Jacob Smithline (nee Schmukler) from Riga Latvia,Ella Bloch (also from Latvia), and Bernhard Ettlinger from Germany.

My hope is that we may learn about more about our family and that we may all continue to stay in touch through the years.

Special thanks go to my cousin Dale Magnin who provided the "tech support" necessary to start and continue this challenging project. Additional thanks to cousin Rachelle Smithline Loss for her amazing photo finds, and diligent research. Kerry Moudy Raines gets credit for adding the
largest number of individuals to the tree in a single day!

And many hugs and thanks to the hundreds of cousins, inlaws (and outlaws)with whom I have communicated by phone, Internet, and postal mail. Without your hard work and tolerance of my endless questions, this tree would not be possible.

I look forward to hearing from you for any additions, corrections, or updated photos. A family tree, is like a living tree: some leaves and branches will fall but new growth occurs and the tree will live on and grow.

May this web site enhance your knowledge of our family that we may continue to fill our lives with good deeds and love for one another.
