Nichol/Grout/Allison/Greatorex

We are currently researching our lineage in the NICHOL, GROUT, ALLISON and GREATOREX families.

In general, we are looking for information on the NICHOL family prior to emigrating from UK to Australia on "Flying Dutchman", arriving in Sydney NSW in 1864, in particular any information on William NICHOL b. 1817 (France?) d. 1887 and his wife Elizabeth GREATOREX b. 1835.

Additionally we would welcome any information on the GROUT and CRADOCK (Lord HOWDEN?)families from Yorkshire in the early 1800's, and any information at all on William Martindale ALLISON who emigrated from Scotland to Australia (Rockhampton, Queensland) in the late 1800's.
