I am researching the GIBSON family from Platteville, Wisconsin. William Finley Gibson (son of George Holland Gibson & Jane Boyce) was born in Wicklow, Ireland on May 28, 1826. His first wife died in the cholera epidemic in Chicago (nothing is known about her). William Finley then married Margaret Keegan (b. 3/8/1824 d. 3/17/1911), in 1850 in Chicago. Margaret was the daughter of Frank & Margaret Keegan of Vale of Avoca, Ireland. The Keegan family came to the USA with the Gibson family.

William Finley Gibson had 9 children- George Holland, Margaret Jane, William Finley (died), William Francis (my great grandfather), Mary Elizabeth, Albert Amos, Joseph Finley (died), Obedia(h) Edward & Henry Irvin.

I'm also researching the MURPHY family (Ireland & England). Thomas Patrick Murphy (b. 1866)in Kilkenny Co., Eire., married Mary (maiden name unknown) born 2/12/1869 in New Ross Co., Wexford, Eire., Date of marriage before 1891. Thomas & Mary moved to Warrington, England (Between 1891-1899). Their children were Patrick (b. 1891 in Kilkenny Co., Eire); Thomas (b. 1893-died in infancy); Mary (b. 1894); Jane (b.1896); Anastasia (b. 1898) & Margaret (b. 4/1/1899 in Warrington, England). Margaret Murphy married Thomas Frederick Ashman (my grandparents) in August 1922 in St. Benedict's Church- Warrington, England.

Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have.
