NICKELL is a variation of the Scotish clan name MacNicol or Nicholson, and has been traced from Scotland to America by way of County Tyrone, Ulster Ireland where our branch of the family lived, probably from about 1605 to 1745 when our line begins in the new world. The family is very well documented since 1745, but we have virtually nothing of the family in Ireland or Scotland prior to that date. I am most interested in locating NICKELL lines from Scotland (c. 1300) to Ulster (c. 1730). I am also researching PIERATT, ELDER, and LITTLEFIELD (esp. England [Titchfield] prior to 1550).
GULEY is a Slovak name from the North Central region of Slovakia near Martin. My wife is researching her family in America since 1900. She is also researching ZADAWESKI and RAKAUSKAS.
