1. ISAAC² ZANE (UNKNOWN¹)^1,^2,³ was born March 1766 in Pennsylvania, and died February 18, 1839 in Jefferson, Cass Co., Michigan. He married MARY STEPHENSON December 23, 1795 in Clark Co., Ky. She was born April 19, 1772 in Pennsylvania, and died October 16, 1866 in Norton-Reames Cem., Cass Co., Michigan.

Notes for ISAAC ZANE:
1831-2 moved to Cass Co., Michigan. To date, the parents of Isaac Zane, who married Mary Stephenson, are still a mystery.

From a bounty land application dated 27 Aug 1855 made by Mary Zane, states:
"Mary Zane, aged 83 years a resident of Cass County, Michigan, states she is the widow of Isaac Zane, deceased." Further states husband (Isaac) was in the War of 1812 20 Jun 1812 for three months. Further that she was married to said Isaac Zane, in Clark County, in the state of Kentucky on 23rd day of December 1795, by William Paine a minister of the gospel anad that her name before her said marriage was Mary Stephenson, that her said husband died a the town of Jefferson, Cass County, Michigan on the 19th day of Feb 1839. Also signed statements by Jonathan Colyar and Catherine Colyar that the above facts were true to their knowledge.

Marriage record is in Clark Co., Ky and shows Isaac Zanes and Mary Stevenson with her father as William Stevenson.
