* Harry R. Sr. & Gabriella M. Nichols of Wenonah,N.J.*

Updated October 10, 2005

Our family search began in 1978. The Nichols Family in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania began prior to the Revolutionary War. The Porter's have been traced from SE Pennsylvania to Mecklenburg County, North Carolina in the early 1800's. They then moved south into the Columbia, South Carolina area where many live today. The Forte and Nicosia branches came to the U.S. in the early 1900's and settled in the Philadelphia, Penna. area. Many are there today and others have moved to southern New Jersey.
The four main branches of our tree are Nichols,Porter,Forte and Nicosia. Sub-branches include the Lindner & Gallant families on the Nichols side and the Cianfrani & LoDuca families on the Forte side. We range from N.J. & Pa. south into Va., the Carolinas and Fla. Other sub-branches extend to Texas and still others remain in Italy.
Gabriella and I married in 1968, and after my stint with the U.S.Navy we moved to New Jersey in 1970, where we settled in Deptford Twp, Gloucester County. We are proud parents of two sons,Harry Richard(Rick)Jr. married to the former Theresa Eileen Morrissey of Woodbury,N.J. They are the caretakers of our wonderful grandchildren, Alexandra Kathlene & Logan Patrick Nichols.
Our second born is James(Jim) Vincent. He is married to the former Sheila Marie Mayko of Croydon,Pa.
