| My Leake/Leak family connection is very interesting. Samuel Leake came to Virginia from England with his wife Miss Raner an his two son Robert and William. Robert married his cousin Susannah Leake she was the daughter of Josiah Leake grandaughter of Walter Leake and greatgranddaughter of William and Mary Bostick Leake.Robert and Susannah moved to Bracken County,Kentucky and they dropped the (e) from their name and from that time on my family went by Leak . Some of the children moved to Hendrick County,Indiana that is where my father was born and his name was Robert Leak |
