I am searching for information regarding Israel Nichols born circa. 1786 in New York. Possibly in or around Chautauqua county. I would like to be able to find out who his parents were and hopefully go further back in my search. I have located him in the 1830 Census and currently awaiting additional information from the NARA. The lineage of Nichols I am searching for seemed to have moved from the Hudson Bay area down into northern Pennsylvania area, at least according to the information I have been given. My thanks and appreciation for any help you can possibly give.
