I have always been interested in family history and have been very fortunate in that I have a head start. I was given a family tree of my father's side of the family the WEST family of the East Lindsey area of Lincolnshire England, dating back to 1757. I am particularly interested in my 3xGt.Grandmother, Susannah who was a widow when she married Christopher West on 31st March 1789. Her widowed name was Foster but as yet I have been unable to trace her original maiden name. She was born in 1757 being 10 years older than Christopher, so it is possible that her marriage to Mr. Foster would have been sometime between 1773 and 1788. The parish record of her marriage to Christopher shows that she was living in the parish of BRINKHILL at the time the banns were read and where they were married and lived for the first 10 years or so of their long married life(nearly 50 years). I must add the reason for my particular interest is that my own wedding anniversary falls on March 31st!
