Notes for Richard Flowers: From the Troy Enquirer on Nov. 12, 1887: "Mr. Richard Flowers spent last Sunday and Monday on a visit to his daughter, Mrs. M. V. Gibson, in this city. He is in the 90th year of his age and is still remarkable active and energetic for one of his age." Note: Rebecca Flowers was married to Martin Van Buren Gibson.
