Burch Family of Buffalo, Putnam, West Virginia

I am researching the history of the Burch family who came to West Virginia from Connecticut in the late 1700's. They settled in what is now Putnam County near Buffalo, West Virginia at a place called Eighteen Mile Creek. A small family cemetery still marks the site of the original cabin.

Other family surnames I am researching include Whittington, Sifers, Hix, Waugh, and McCloskey.
