FLINN:
My William Flinn died in 1795. His son Thomas Flinn (Sr.?) had a short life, being "burned at the stake" by Indians, so the story goes. He died aft. May 28, 1792, in Shelby or Logan OH. His wife, Nancy (d.1838), raised their four children on a farm in Indian HIll, OH. I am trying to identify Thomas' parents, and his immediate family. He may have had a son, William, b.1785, d.1867. I have completed much of the family tree from this "William" to Isaac Flinn, to Darius Wellington Flinn, to Robert Sparks Flinn, to Roberta Flinn, to myself, R. Douglas Nicholson.

NICHOLSON:

My Christopher Nicholson, b. aft 1 Feb 1790 in Lazonby, Cumberland Co., England and died aft 1 Feb. 1862. Christopher, a blacksmith, was married to Sarah Strong, b. aft. 1 Jan 1796, d. aft. 1 Jan 1840. Sarah was born in Cowrid, Cumberland Co, England. Their marriage produced at least one son, Anthony Nicholson, b 1835, d. 1920 in Scottsville, NY. He was married first to Agnes Dent, b.1828, d.1867, then to Phyllis Irvine Saul, b. 1843, d. 1909. Here I'm attempting to both trace Christopher's parents in England, and to locate Anthony's children: two with Agnes, and eight with Phyllis.

Any help would be graciously appreciated. And I would be happy to sketch in further details if it will help anyone.
