I am researching Hutchersons who were last traced back to Kentucky (Thomas Hutcherson, ca. 1755 to ca.1840, Garrard County, Ky.) and whose descendants ended up in California. I am also researching Dickinsons, and would like more information on Albion Dickinson, 1839-1911, of Armona, Calif., and parents, ancestors thereof. Albion was the father of my great grandfather, Charles Wesley Dickinson and of A.P. Dickinson, Charles' brother. A.P. settled in Oakland, Calif.
Additionally, I am interested in Yoakums; the branch I am following migrated from Missouri (William Yoakum and his son, John E.) during the 1850s and '60s and also settled in the Armona, Kings County area. William was married to Sarah (Stone) Yoakum, mother of John E., but she did not come to Calif. with him. He came west once with his two brothers, Jesse and Isaac, and later with his son, John. A daughter, Mary A. and a half-sister from a second marriage, Sarah, also relocated in California. I am interested in finding out what became of these daughters; did they remain in Solano County, where William worked for awhile raising cattle before coming to Armona?

William is buried in the Armona cemetary, but I am not sure when or where John E. died or is buried. My great great grandmother, Jennie (Reeve), was John's first wife; following her death, he married Alma (Cody). John and Jennie's one surviving child was also named Jennie (my great grandmother); with Alma, he had three children: Queenie, Valentine Stone and John Vaughn.

My great grandmother was raised by her mother's sister, Elizabeth (Reeve) Tilton, and married Charles Wesley Dickinson. I would like to find out what happened to John E. and his second family.

I am also tracing my husband's family, and would like information on people with the surname Niccum in Indiana, primarily in Terre Haute and Indianapolis. My husband's grandfather was named Jacob, or Jake, Niccum.

I would be grateful for any information people can provide and would be more than happy to share the information that I have.
