Mr. William Nichols passed away on December 4, 2002 ******************************************************************************** The NICHOLS came to Florida from the hills of Tennessee and Northern Alabama, supposedly from England via SC. Oldest relative found is JOHN WESLEY NICHOLS who married CAROLINE REDDIN 13 May 1818, Charleston, SC. Family emigrated to Franklin Co., Alabama. Dad's mother was NANCY IRENE VANDIVER, of Colbert Co.,Alabama via Maryland, Holland. Mom was a KENNAMER/THOMAS Jackson Co, Alabama and have traced Kennamers when name was Genheimer in Oppah, Rhineland, Germany 1482. Our family moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee where I was born 1929. First wife was MARY CATHERINE RYMER from Cleveland, Bradford Co.,Tennessee and present wife is MARIAN JUANITA McGREGOR from St. Mary's, Camden Co., Georgia. McGREGOR family originally from Scotland.
